Kamancha

Kamancha
Kamancha.

The paratroopers' motto "No one but us" echoes in Vladimir Kamantsev's fate with the motto "No one but you."
He went through two wars - the Chechen campaign and a decade of drug addiction.  Though it took him a while, he came out a winner.

He was drafted into the army in 1999. The path of the paratrooper in the late 90s was unambiguous - the hottest spot on the map of Russia. In February 2000, there was  a fierce battle for Shatoy, Chechnya.  The reconnaissance group, which included Vladimir, was surrounded by about thirty rebels.  As a result of the firing, Vladimir received two wounds. The first is in the radius of the arm. The second was in the thigh, the bullet damaged the sciatic nerve. Friends did not leave him and pulled the immobilized fighter on themselves from the battlefield.

And then... ten years of pain, endless hospitals, operations, addiction, and amputation of his leg. And there the story could end just as sadly as in 2000, but Kamantsev refused to give up. Sport came into his life. Now he reflects other blows - as a goalkeeper.
Vladimir Kamantsev is the goalkeeper of Udmurtia team and Russian national sledge hockey team, silver medalist of the 2014 Paralympics in Sochi, a happy husband and a father with many children. He wants to continue his career as a coach.

Now Vladimir helps the solders returned from hotspots.
